Details

Held in Geneva, the world capital of diplomacy, the Academy combines academic learning, hands on workshops, visits to international organisations, and a flagship negotiation simulation. Participants gain early exposure to diplomacy, leadership, and global governance in a supportive, international environment.

Programme

The aim of the Junior Leadership Academy is to provide motivated high school students with a practical introduction to leadership, diplomacy, and global affairs.

The programme helps students develop critical thinking, communication, and negotiation skills, while building confidence in academic and professional settings. By combining theory with experiential learning, the Academy prepares students for future university studies and encourages them to become informed, engaged, and responsible global citizens.

This pre-university summer programme offers a structured and engaging introduction to international affairs, leadership, and diplomacy. The language of instruction is English, and the programme welcomes students from diverse cultural, academic, and national backgrounds.

Participants learn through short lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, public speaking exercises, teamwork challenges, and real world simulations. The programme is designed to be academically enriching while remaining accessible and age appropriate.

  • Introduction to international relations and global governance
  • Leadership skills and decision making
  • Diplomacy, negotiation, and mediation
  • Human rights and global justice

A Dynamic & Interactive Learning Experience

The Junior Leadership Academy is organised into two one-week modules. Students may enrol for one week or attend both weeks for the full Summit experience. Each week combines academic sessions, leadership workshops, institutional visits, and collaborative activities in Geneva.

The programme culminates in The Summit, a high level diplomatic simulation where students apply what they have learned in realistic negotiation scenarios.
